Rhiannon Hooson

I am a poet and author from Mid-Wales, now based in the marches after time spent living and working in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. I have won major awards for my work, and have read at venues across the UK and Europe.

Variously described as uncompromising and sharp-edged, compelling and provocative, and at the forefront of literary female voices, my work has been widely published in anthologies and literary periodicals, and my first short collection was awarded an Eric Gregory award from the Society of Authors. My collection The Other City will be published by Seren this autumn.

I am an experienced workshop leader and creative mentor, with a PhD in Creative Writing, and five years experience of teaching writing of all kinds at a university level, including poetry, fiction, genre fiction and creative non-fiction. I offer tailored one-on-one tuition or group workshops.
