Steve Attwood-Wright

I am a textile artist and tutor, working from my studio in the Kerry Hills. I work with a 60" wide, 16-shaft cloth loom and a heavy rug loom. I am intrigued by unusual fabric structures and effects, and use traditional and modern materials to create double cloths, three-dimensional and double sided cloths.

Inspiration comes from many sources, including the rhythm and colours of the changing seasons, poetry and music. I have run workshops for children and adults for 30 years, including 20 years as weave tutor at Middlesex University. I have been exploring making outside artworks made with found objects, and making labyrinths. We have a woodland plantation and wildflower meadows for creative outdoor art projects and workshops for schools, children and adults - please contact for further details.

The studio is open to visitors, but please telephone first to confirm.
