Born and raised in Powys, I showed a passion and talent for music from a young age. My abilities were quickly recognised, and my music started to be performed publicly by local dance and theatre groups while I was still at secondary school.
I studied on the world-renowned Tonmeister Music and Sound Recording degree at the University of Surrey, graduating in 2007, gaining the highest marks in my year for my professional placements and final year recording portfolio.
An interest in computer game music led me to enter and win the national Microsoft In-Game Music Competition 2007, and has resulted in my gaining contacts at Rare and Microsoft Game Studios.
With a desire to further my knowledge of traditional music theory and composition techniques more formally, I have recently started a Masters in Composition for Screen at the Royal College Of Music, London. My studies here are kindly supported by the Stanley Bligh Scholarship and Ann Driver Trust Scholarship Award.
I am currently based in London, under my recently set-up audio production company Blurred Edge, and have worked for many high profile clients including Electronic Arts, The Music Dept, Bimbo Jones and West Yorkshire Playhouse. I was also selected as a finalist in the international composition competition, The Battle 2009, in which I won my category.
My recent works include scores for the film Le Strega by director Michael Cimpher and the animation Cityscape created and directed by Seong Jun Lee, both of which premiered in London in early 2009.
