I am a sculptor with a particular interest in the creation of fluid, dynamic surfaces in metal. Much of this has been inspired by mathematical form principles and dynamical systems in nature and physics. To enable me to create these forms I spent several years researching methods for the creation of complex surfaces using a specialised metal forming process. Aided by an Arts Council Production Grant in 2006, I started to take my work to a scale suitable for public spaces. Since then I have worked on several public commissions for schools and a hospital and also some larger private commissions.
I have also been involved in Creative Partnerships and other school-based projects, and greatly enjoy collaborating with young people in exploring their creative ideas.
